looking to buy one of the above in the coming months - is there anything i should look out for in particular on either engine? what are service intervals like? cambelt changes? i have seen parkers specs but does anyone know anything about the braking systems on these i.e. what size discs they run and 60-0's etc?
how much should i look to be paying for a, say, 4 year old one with around 30k on the clock? what extras does the gt badge bring the car? i would guess sports seats and suspension. anything else? bigger alloys?
cheers!!

hi there
first thing is the 130bhp is a PD unit and has a 6 speed box. Also GT means you get pretty much all the features off the Petrol GTI model, so thats bigger alloys and sports seats. Not too sure about the suspension.
as far as brake discs go, discs all round (think they are 312mm front) with single pot calipers front and rear. The 150bhp diesel has lowered suspension, 6 speed box and recaro seats (well mine does).
hope this helps
have a nice day
