I hope they get the rear box to sit straight...which they seemed to fail to manage in every S3/R32 I' know of...it would also be good if they managed to get the exhaust to not bang on the underside when nipping on and it's really hot - again as every S3/R32 I know of does.

Yet another update:

Good news.

We have now released the Mk6 GTI system.

Please see the following link for options - http://www.millteksport.com/exhaust.products.cfm?variantid=308

With regards pricing you will need to speak with your local Milltek Sport stockist.

Looks like there's 90mm Jet (rounded), 100mm Jet and 100mm GT-100 (slash cut) trims

Looks better with the slash cut pipes. Less wheel barrow like. I'd settle for a set of just the trims, not that I've picked my car up yet.

Exactly what I thought. Suits the car perfectly

Well, just rang Turner Race Developments in Stroud and they're ordering a 90mm inwardly rolled/Jet system. I'll post some pics/sound clips when it arrives!

Cue a call from the guys at Turner Race Developments and the Milltek's finally been fitted. 90mm round cut versus the 70mm standard. Obligatory pics:

Overall it sounds a tad meatier, especially 3k revs and up, but below this it sounds almost the same as the standard catback. No droning at all. I'll try and get a video up if I have time!

Yeah, fab, but does it make it go faster? Thought that was the point of a performance exhaust...

If I wanted it to go much faster I'd get a remap (although the bore diameter is larger I doubt it has much influence on bhp gain) To me, the standard exhaust wasn't as loud as I'd have liked so I did what I wanted

any chance of a sound clip?  searching around on youtube doesn't reveal anything for Mk6s, all Mk5s - which sound pretty good.

also hows it going with the milltek?  anything to report?

how much was it and how long to fit?

I had my Milltek on mk5 fitted at awesome gti they had problems unbolting it from the turbo, snapped 2 bolts and had to leave it with them overnight, great service thou they leant me a car to travel back to Hull and collected it next day after they had drilled bolts out etc (they said it had happened a couple of times very tight from the factory) no extra cost and a great drive back home filter, remap, milltek
