ok fitted my coilovers last week. rear ones are fine the front is another story. fitted them and passenger side dont feel right its pulling to one side and i measured the height of the springs on both sides and they are both different but the car sits ok but like i said its pulling to one side.
what do i have to do shall i change the top mounts and bearings also do i change the ruber that sits on top of the springs. also any ideas on any uprated top mounts i can get.

Did you get the tracking and camber done afterwards? if not, thats the problem....
-
would that effect the coilover springs as one side is done up pretty tight and the other is right down the coilover. i had to do this to even the car out. :embarassed:

set the coilovers up using a measuring tape make sure the front are same on each side and same with rears, then get car cambered and tracked. ul be ok oh also make sure your tire preasure is the same.
hope that helps.

You should really have changed your top mounts and bearings at the same time.
VR6 top mounts will be a bit stronger.
Change these, refit the front coilovers and set the adjusters to the same height both sides. Then see how it sits, drive it for a few miles to let it settle then do any final adjustments to get the height the same both sides.
Then go and get your tracking and camber set properly.

Measure from the base of the spring plate down to a fixed point on the car, also worth fitting VR6 top mounts, do around 500 miles to let it all settle down then get the camber and tracking checked.
Sounds like to me you have assemblied something wrong hence having to set your coilovers cock eyed.

You cannot set them that way to be honest as the threads can differ.
-
so this is what i have to do.........get new top mounts and bearings adjust all 4 springs so that they are all the same. give it a few weeks then get tracking done.

Yes and I as said earlier measure from the spring plate down to a fixed point on the car.

by the way you say you had to make 1 extremely different to the other it sounds like you either did it on very unsteady ground or maybe assembled 1 in the wrong way?
