It's not hard in theory but melting the glue and keeping the glass in one piece is hard.

dont wanna poach the thread but if i bought these ebay headlights...

1. could i just not connect the angel eyes and use them as normal headlights?
2. i assume i could 100% legally fit a HID kit to these?

thanks

they still wouldn't be 100% legal but they would be a damn sight better than just having HID bulbs in a normal headlight. To make them legal you would need self levelling motors as well as headlight washers.

I've never had any problems with mine though so don't let it put you off

thanks mate, have you got projector headlights then? and would i be able to 'disable' the halo bits? theyre a bit ott for me!

Yes mate I have projector headlights (the Depo R32 style) Have a look in my project section for the beam pattern and how they look etc

I think you could ditch the rings, it looks like they have a separate sidelight bulb as well as the high/main beam. I know you can't disable the halo rings on the FK headlights as they act as your sidelights.

It would be worth giving the seller a shout and making sure they have the sidelights.

I can definately say this is not as easy as its looks in the how to, There was no way on this earth that the glass would come off the standard lights in one piece! I cut the backs off my donor lights and salvaged the lens, unfortunately one is slightly damaged but not too bad so if anyone has a spare n/s headlight or lens PM me.

The Depo lights are easy as the glue is different. I'm pretty sure most if not all have had to smash the lens on one set and save the rears on the other and make a good set out of both

2 pairs of lights, smashed the glass off one and cut the back off the other. cleaned up the mess, sprayed then glued back together.
