Very very nice :D I love that colour, although I'm a bit biased  The silver really shows off the curves
Edit: your old vxr looks the dogs in white

cheers mate, and i totally agree about my old car, i loved that thing it was absolutley mental

Nice car, nice color!!
You've got ACC as well? How do you find it?
-
i have not got ACC  but the handling is immense as it is mate, i have had it on some twisty roads and it's road holding is brilliant and lets you get the power down at all times
-
That looks lovelly pal!!
Was behind a berg and a normal VXR yesterday... for some reason the berg sounded ... but the vxr sounded a little flat if im honest. There is no denying that they are nice looking cars... just the quality that lets them down imo. Obviously I wasnt in the .:R or they would have both been behind me

Very nice.
Im still not sure personally if the 18s work as well on the silver as they do on the other colours due to there colour.

the burg will have sounded better than the normal vxr as it has the Remus sports exhuast system which has no pre cat and only has a 100cell sports cat, which is also why the burg has more power than the standard vxr

ahh haaa!! thanks for clearing that up  did sound nice... just wait for the calls for MK6 owners to go visit Miltek :lipsrsealed:

haha Hutch, that track on your 510 sounds bloody awesome doesn't it? Even without Dynaudio it's a great sounding system with the right tunes.....
Seems 5 drs and 18's is the way to go?!
-
I have a huge favour to ask, Any chance you could do a full on side view photo with the wheels straight please.
Thanks
Geoff.

the sound system is immense, would not mind hearing the difference of the dynaudio
my brother (works for VW) advised me that 5 door will have better resale as the 3 door will compete with the scirrocco on resale market

your brother's thought does make some sense!
that's what happens here in Hong Kong, the dealer simply doesn't import 3-door GTI (only GTI) and the 3-door market will be taken care of by Scirocco.

So your VW brother didn't pick the ACC option for you? Did you ask him why? I would be curious to know his thought behind.

apparently they are pushing the 5dr over the 3dr because they want people that were going to get the 3 dr to go for the scirroco instead

apparently it's only worth the money if you are planning to do loads of track days as the handling is immense without it anyway, and i can vouch for that, the handling is brilliant

Thanks a lot! I am still struggling if I should go for ACC (but with a long wait time) or stick with the conventional suspension setup.
-
the conventional setup is excellent, best thing to do is try and get a test drive in one with it an d one without and then decide. i am not too bothered i dont have it

mate, I had a Scirocco with ACC and now have my GTI without it and do not miss it one bit. If you are pootling around with an elderly mother in tow (such as another forum member) then go for it but otherwise I think it's not a necessity but a luxury. If money is no object go for it as the comfort setting makes motorways slightly nicer but not enough to justify the cost.

Thanks Gossa! The comment you've given is more qualitative and easy for me to understand! Thanks!

Chears mate thats helped me make my mind up
Very nice.
what were you deciding?
-
I had to pick my final choice Colour and wheel comb, I needed to make my final choice this week. You helped me decide on 18s+silver  . So thanks mate.
All i need to do now is workout if i think Xenons are worth it lol.
As i keep worrying about the long term reliability of them since they swivel (will own this car prob ~10years!). Also at £1025 im beggining to think are they really worth it for how i use the car and i wondering how good or bad the standard lights are?
