My steering wheel is screaming its nuts of and sounds like its coming from behind the steering wheel ...........any ideas?
When braking my abs seems a bit intermitent sometimes it judders really badly and other times it doesnt when i brake a little hard. It feels like it kicks in to soon or its over doing it a bit when it shouldnt....im thinking abs senser?
any1 got a clue about what these problems could be?

The abs might be nothing to worry about, its not very good at all on the mk3 and does come in far too early, but at least its working!! Just go down to your nearest vw specialists and if its a decent garage they will pop it on vagcom for you for free and you can check for faults, if theres no faults i wouldnt worry too much.
Steering wheel could be a bearing? power steering belt?

no m8 the brakes are not right at all they work ok but once they get to the stage when they shake your spleen out of your a??hole then you know it aint right and doesnt happen all the time.
The noise from the steering wheel that can only be described as a badger being raped by a donkey while being poked in the eye with the sharpe edge of a chevron sign is defo coming from behind the steering wheel like something is rubbing.

Steering noise is the top column bearing breaking up very common
Are you sure it is an abs fault and not a warped disc.

I get the same problem with my abs. Both front sensors were knackered so I fitted new ones and now sometimes the brakes work ok, but other times the abs kicks in causing the pedal to shudder and degrading the brakes. I noticed when fitting the sensors that the abs rings are rusty so I may try giving them a rub with emery.

yeh not sure if that is abs? just get it on vagcom and check it out, that will bring out if there is a sensor at fault.
