Title: Looking at buying a Decent polisher
Post by: warnesey333 on 14 August 2009, 11:18
I've had my fair share of circular polishers, all do nothing as they just get stuck under mild force.

Anyway, I've spotted the Meguiar's G220 Dual Action Polisher but it's a bit pricey.

I've found this...
http://www.waxamomo.co.uk/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=255&idcategory=21

The Silverline Silverstorm Rotary Polisher.

Now to get rid of swirls, I need a cutting compound and a glazing liquid I think?

The problem I am having is what plates and pads to buy?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I wouldnt advise on a rotary unless you have used a decent dual action polisher before hand (porta cable/meguiars g220 etc)

It is quite easy to do damage with a rotary as it gets hot = hole in paint lol

Get some lake country pads! Awesome pads to use.

Usually have to import them but doesnt cost much, heres the first site i found for info

Buy some menzerna polish mate, best i have used! The megs range is quite good as well (professional range, can find it in waxamomo)
