Title: Central locking playin up
Post by: billy_vw on 12 August 2009, 20:38
Got back from holiday today and went to get in golf and the central locking is not working

B4 holiday it was working all fine from the alarm fob and by key.......

Strange thing is even though i have to lock/un lock doors manually the closure still works when you hold the lock position...

Any help peeps?

How much you want for the pump?

Is the pump making any noise when you lock/ unlock the car ??? or is there a pump noise for a while when you action the locking system??

Just wondering if it's an air leak in the system Mate thats not giving you enough power to open the locks.

hi ive just been reading your problems with your central locking and you say you have window closers as well. does anyone know if the closers are controlled by the pump?

Full Closure is electronic and central locking is controlled by air from the pump.

I have today taken out my pump which has had a melt down

This i think was caused becuase some water got in where the electronic 12 pin plug goes and caused to short out  :undecided:

I borrowed a mates pump so i could unlock boot and petrol flap, won 1 on Ebay so waiting a couple of days for new 1 and all be fixed again
