Title: 110/150 amp fuse strip gone

hello! i change the clutch on my golf yesterday and at first it seem fine, and drove around for a good few miles, after awhile the lights started going dim and went of all together then the car just died out, no power at all, i look under the bonnet and the the fuse strip that connects to the alternator me thinks has blown, any ideas whats going on ?

Sure you havnt left an earth braid disconnected when you removed the gearbox>

yeh i thought that.. im pretty sure i havnt left it of, going to have another look today, there is one connected to the gaer box earthed and  and i think there is another earth going off i cant remember, does this sound right?
