stop my alarm going off
everytimes i open a door, boot, bonnet the list goes on.
it only started doing this when i left my music on, and the battery died and i had to jump start it.
-
I just had this with my immobliser after I got a flat battery - had to get it reset
-
well im doing what my alarm manual says
- disconnect battery
- turn on ignition
- reconnect battery
- turn off ignition
- press remote for approx 10 secs
-
what alarm system is it, my rado one was a mare when i had taken the battery off - had to lock/unlock a few times before it behaved!!
-
its just the standard alarm that comes in the car:)
its a 97' GL, but the alarm system is quite good
-
We have a '97 GL, no alarm.
Not stock.
Could be any number or reasons.
-
put on when first built mate;)
erm its an extra the first owners would have paid more for:)
-
How can you tell?
I'm pretty sure it wasn't an extra from VW, maybe at the dealer and was upgraded by another professional?
-
nah it says in the manual what extras you can choose when the car is first built
-
It wouldn't surprise me if it was an optional extra as my 1996 GL has the alarm in place but it was disconnected, yet it has the sensors and cables running to a unit in the dash. I dare not to mess with it though lol!
