Title: golf 2.0l 16v ABF temp sender
Post by: michaeljohn16v on 11 August 2009, 13:53
I trying to locate the ecu temp sender for my golf gti but have been to that it is a 4pin blue sensor and the abf engine has two 4pin enginemanagement sensors.
Anyone have a photo highlighting the location of this or describe its location to me.
Been looking through the haynes manual and iit said it is located to the left hand side of the cylinderhead below the distributor to the left but the only temp sensor I can see there is a 2pin yellow coloured connector one ( part number 026906161 ).
Any help would be greatful as my car is struggling when idling on startup until it gets warm and I have tried the usual things such as TB and ISV.
Cheers!

the 2 pin one on the side of the head is for the ecu, it should be white but will go yellow with age. the single pin one is for the dash gauge, and if there is a 4 pin one in the plastic flange on the side of your head thats for a/c
