Title: golf gti gearbox problems

i have a mk3 golf gti and it seems the gearbox has given up i have a 1.8 driver on the drive would the gearbox go in the 2ltr gti? im just trying to save money at moment as i have no job any help on this would be much appreciated

Yes I believe it will fit but not sure on ratios or clutch.

Alright mate the only difference that i have come across is that the driveshaft hubs differ some are 90mm an some are 100mm, I have a box you can have only done 37k :)  £180 delivered if not to far....
