ya may have to get underneath the car and press the tabs in?

Have you looked underneath? Sometimes there's some plastic flaps bolted to the bottom of the splitter. Think it's a 6mm or 7mm bolt

mine doesnt, woops, i hope he hasnt gone all heavy handed and broken on my advice sorry mate!!
one of the lads at the vwnw had his fall off on its own, lol

Ive just swaped my Gti one for a VR6 splitter on my '95 Gti and there wernt any bolts on mine - but I have heard of some having two small bolts

all done,easy,cost me a fiver for a mint one in my scrappy
picked up a boot spoiler to whats the best way to attach these?

Either find a GTI tailgate the same colour as your car, or chop the bolts off the spoiler and glue it to your tailgate using black tigerseal. I've glued two on now and they both stayed there..
