First time poster. I hope someone can help with my problem. My girlfreind and i have just returned from a week on holiday and her car won't start ( it was fine before we went away). We actually ran the battery down trying to get it started so we used jump leads from my car and still no joy. I disconnected the HT lead from the ignition coil and noticed that it is only giving out one spark when the igintion is turned on but it doesn't spark at all when trying to turn over. We went and bought a new coil but it's doing just the same thing. I also tried one of the plug leads with a plug attached to the coil so as to eliminate a bad lead as the problem. I'm at a loss as to what to try next. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

There is no spark from the coil before it even reaches the dizzy.
