Title: Drivers side window mech
Post by: peaky83 on 08 August 2009, 22:39
Hi guys,

The mech for my drivers side window got stiffer and stiffer and then now it turns freely but doesnt wind the window up or down... I have secured the window up for now. Has anyone had this problem?
Can it be repaired or do i need a new mech? If i need a new one where can i get it from?

I live in Macclesfield. The car is a 3dr, 1991 GTi 8v 1800 cc Digifant injection. Is that enough info?

Thanks in advance,

Dan

sounds like the cable has snapped, they are a doddle to replace and can be had from most autofactors.

You are going to be asking for the window regulator.
