Alrite people
Ive just had this idea of maybe changing the bottom end on my valver for a mk3 2ltr and using my 16v head with Kr cams i should see around 180bhp? (including the four branch thats on it) my question is, does it have to be the bottom end from a 16v mk3 or could i use the 8v bottom end? are they the same?, as the 8v's are alot easier to get hold of.
Any help, views and suggestion pls.

the pistons are rather a lot diffrent between 8v and 16v

really would advise against useing the ABF, KR combo on K JET
the ABF has better cams than the KR, people rave about the KR inlet cam it has a bit more duration than the ABF cam but the ABF cam has a lot more lift.
the compression ratio is also a bit high for a daily driver, ABF is soposedly 10.5 :1 cr std and the kr head is soposed to have a slightly smaller chamber acording to some sorces so if anything the CR is going to go up. you will be close to the limutes of the k jets fueling and have no knock control. if the warm up reg malfunctions it will cost you an enigne if it goes un noticed and isn't replaced
