My car showed 8600 miles to next service yesterday, today the service light is telling me it's due!

Can it be so far out??? The dealer said to wait for the light before booking in.

How long has it been since the last service in terms of miles/time?

Its an miles or time 1st that will trigger the service now message. Ie you probably had 8600 miles to go till 20k, 30k, 40K etc, but the time since your last service has been 1 or 2 years to the date thus being first and triggered the service now.

Last serviced in may 08 and done 3500 miles since, best get it booked in i think.

I've only had it 3 months, done 1500 miles. Got a little 206 diesel workhorse as my mile muncher.

Eh??? No, the car has done 3500 since may 08, i got it in may 09, i've done 1500 since then!  :smiley:
