Title: Help With Amp's/subs

Alrite just after some advice , if you have seen in the latest issue of performance VW half way through there is a blue mk2 with VR6 engine , i have seen the sound system thats in it . I've priced it up seeing that it is costing alot , im after a similar setup and im going to make it look as clean and neat as whats seen in the book , im after two 10 inchs subs alpine or JL auido would be great unless you can think of other better one's.

Could i just run them two subs with no other speakers and somehow plug an ipod right into it?

If you just run subs you'll only here under 50-80Hz. It will sound poop.

What budget have you got?
What equipment have you already got?
What equipment is in the mk2 you've seen?
