1st pic looks like one o them crappy fuel savers or something, though not sure what its doing that side of the fuel rail? can you get any better pics of where the pipes on it go?
2nd pic is for the rear washers, you can see in the pic the other end of the pipe just under the header tank :)
edit: had another look at the 1st pic, its been spliced inline with the brake servo vacuum pipe. I have a feeling it might be a fake dump valve or something, chav tastic and dangerous if it vents vacuum

1st pic, god knows
2nd pic screen or headlamp wash.

yep its an ecotek valve, bin it. Its been installed in the wrong spot too, it should be on the inlet side of the yellow/black non-return valve not the servo side. Its supposed to lean out your mixture to 'improve fuel economy' but putting it on that side of the non-return valve will do precicely f**k all except make your brake servo assistance less effective. Genius.

Thanks people for the help! so i'll just attach the pipe to the one in the background in the same picture. How can I go about getting a replacement pipe to get rid of the dodgy fuel saver? ay idea what the pipe would be called?
Might be on a bit later to take a few more pics of random things, theres a few more dodgy things! getting a service on saturday so should be able to identify whats going on.
Thanks,
James.

scrappers might have one, just make sure its a mk2 digi 8v one as carb/16v ones differ. in the short term if you can find a bit of hard pipe to join the ends together that'll do the job
