Hello,
We have just upgraded our Bosch rolling road to run some new software, which allows real time graphing, and multi input signals, duty cycle, lambda, boost, timing, temps ect. We are looking for victims members who are willing to allows us to test there cars on the dyno for free to help us calibrate the software and check it out with differing systems.
We need cars in good running order which are totally stock performance wise or tuned with and with recent dyno graphs.
You will get a printed graph, which wheel power, with a visual graph of the transmission losses during coast down and the the whole data the during which will include wheel power and engine power.
The set up is near enough spot on, we ran a stock 200bhp Astra sri turbo which pulled 199.9 bhp and 7lbft shy of the stock torque.
Tophers pimp think with an AUM pulled 149bhp this morning with stock mapping.
So if your free this week and your car is stock and you can make coffee please pm me or call me on 01455 617233.
Any car will do.

did you get a price on that decat?
-
friday pm after 2 or satdee - pissrat is standard
-
Yours might be too low to go on the dyno mate! Get a tape measure out..
Ground clearance at lowest point, and linear distance from there to centre of wheel..

-
well my neighbours really think I am barking,
3.5 inch drop, at 28 inch.
but its V flexible and above that is an other inch to inch an half

Sub frame can also be a bummer on dropped cars.
The cars can be any make or model petrol or dervs.
-
oh well, I offered
-
I could put mine to standard......but its to low to get on the dyno  :lipsrsealed:
Chuff you 'sat wont get on
-
looks that way, i think they just cant cope with the POWER

-
you might just about get on the ramp, but the once the front wheels drop onto the dyno i reckon you'll have bumper and sills resting on the rollers.. and those things can cause damage quickly.
.. especially to electric cables :lipsrsealed:
-
astra estate 1.8 AUTO or corsa 1.4 R reg are my only other options then  cos if the 'sat dont fit neither will the 2 :lipsrsealed:
-
you could always wind the front end up
-
no spanner. and think they are seized anyway  :lipsrsealed:
-
I got a spare one for the weitec collies  copper grease FTW
-
I would be up for that Nick as i never got one :P talk about ur server ect.
Just need to replace my rad after my little nock :undecided:

hi,
new to the site have just had my Y reg 2001 1.8t 150 bhp golf gti a few weeks ago. completely stock no mods, have been thinking bout re-map anyway and would be interested in your offer. also looked on one of your recent threads with price list that spec 1 would be £150 for my engine type and that i could get £50 off until 31st august? so i make that £100 for remap and free rolling road?
would be available to take it down this friday, as it's my only day off working nights. please let me know confirming the above and if you guys are available on that day. just a quick question though having my golf as a family car would the remap mean more trips to fuel pumps?
thanks
frank

sorry guys miscalculated that's £200 for spec 1 minus £50 off offer :nerd: and dont worry bout answering regarding fuel consumption, have found one of your old threads with the answer. so that'll be £150 for remap and free rolling road to test out your new kit. let me know if this is ok for friday....thanks
-
yo, you can have my standard ed30 sat am if you want just let me know

The listed prices are already with the discount, the remap on your AUM will be £200 all inc, plus if your car is stock when you come to us we will put you on the dyno for free.

Bugger, Don't think mine would make it on the rollers
I can always check how much it is lowered, but the consensus was that it was about as low as Chuff's Mk2.
-
Fancy a v-tec Prelude tomorrow afternoon? And maybe a Skoda for a laugh!?
-
Nick and Ben are out mobile mapping tomorrow while the hydraulic ramps are being rebuilt (she's sprung a leak cap'n!)
-
Gash
-
i shall be there matey, i don't suppose i'll see toph as he only knows what an afternoon is lol

Shame i'm in Cornwall at the mo, ten weding/working all weekend.
-
so how did it go, has vaughn lost some ponies
-
nope - both ED30's made exactly what they were supposed to
infact we were all so chuffed with the results of the day (few other cars went on too) we had a human horsepower shootout - video to follow
-
-
, i won`t tell you what petrol was in it :undecided:
-
ah so that's why Leigh's made 1bhp more than yours
-
blame the wife
-
it usually gets v-power, tescos 99 or97, she forgot last time and stuck the normal stuff in. i bet it`s not the first time either , you know what they are like, if it`s not a handbag or shoes and something to do with a car then the cheapest will do
-
 thankfully our lass like trainers, JUST cheaper than handbags n shoes
-
Would an AGU be any use to you? :)

Bring it up, we still have your graph from the dynocom rolling road with the est wheel bhp, it would be nice to see how close we where with the calcs. I think the Bosch rr will the a more realistic torque figure.

ummm you haz 4wd rolling road :) the syncro may have to pay you a visit at some point.
may not fit but m8 needs to get his e46 on the rollers now ive reinforced the rear subframe.
if we unclip some trim it'll lift up to 110mm off the deck at lowest point and it's on 285/40/17's , dunno if you can work out wether it'll fit on from that but it is rather good at testing dynos

Hello,
Its just our Bosch 2wd Front wheel drive rolling road we have been testing, the xspec dyno com 4wd road has already been commissioned.
-
Oww, Well wish i'd of spotted this eariler!!
-
Are you still looking for people for this.
Mine is standard apart from one of your chips and an exhaust.

Well having lerked here since getting my mk5 GTI about 6 months ago, this seems like a good time to make a post
I contacted R-Tech to offer my car (selfless I know), worked out well for me as I had just had some fairly significant repair work done and wanted to be sure all is working as intended.
Went over today as arranged and was very impressed, very friendly and helpful lot. Got a very positive result from the dyno run (196HP / 207Nm reported), and will defiantly be going back for a remap when I get round to it.
I hope those results where as helpful to R-tech as they where to me
-
Nice to meet you today chap. Figures were spot on, that's 207 lbft not nm so right on the money! VW say 200ps which is 197 bhp and an impressively smooth graph. R-tech's rollers are even impressing skeptical old me.
-
Would a -80mm MK2 make it on the ramps?
-
we'll know tomorrow.. im enlisting this one for the day
(http://homepages.nildram.co.uk/~dv8r/golf/Golflowered-1-1.jpg)
if i buy the owner a mcdonalds he might let me play with the coilovers, then see if it fits on the dyno in between jobs. if there is any success he also wants a power graph as bribery

Here is the 2005 Mk5 GTi Stock Graph.

Hi took the old girl down today and put it on the rollers and then took it back off again as she was alittle to low so with tophers we got the c spaner out and started turning the coils up about 40mm. Second time went on with no problems. nice and friendly atmosphere thanks again to all.
-
For the record jon's car went on the roller with room to spare when the top of the front wheel arch was raised to sit exactly 23 inches from the ground.
90bhp from a 1.6 carb with a bit more to come once we get time to tweak the mixture down low, i was dead impressed!
-
Mines 24" from the ground to the top of the black arch trim and roughly 22" to the bottom of the arch, so should make it.
Won't be up that way until next Sunday, and even then I'm supposed to be going to a pissup BBQ
-
think hard about that now jay... remember the dyno really gives your engine some stick, and its a long walk home
-
I'm not worried about the engine blowing up, I'm more worried about the 2nd gear crunch ruining the results
-
runs are done in 4th
we had jon's off the clock at 120mph in 4th

LOL.
It went way off the clock 6.5k in 4th it must have read 135mph on the clock I will check the data and see what speed the rollers got up to.
I am worried about water pumps now..!! Bloody Audi S3
-
Only just seen this.. More than happy to spend money on fuel down if I get a free rolling road session of some before and after tests! Leon Cupra, AQU
-
Could I come down in a few weeks time for a remap and RR session?
PD 130 MK4??
