Hi had a test drive of a new mk6 gti today in red with 18" alloys, have to admit its an improvement over my edition30. Steering felt more direct, engine more responsive especially in low revs and the cabin/dashboard well laid out.
Would i buy one? no not really as not a big enough step over the mk5 and to expensive. The car im probaly going to wait for is the new Sirocco r.

Might be worth waiting for the Golf R instead :lipsrsealed:

...engine more responsive especially in low revs .....
Thats becuase there is less lag with the smaller turbo. I bet if you tried a normal (mk5) GTI it would feel more responsive at lower revs than your ed30. If you want to swap just let me know

I believe there is also more torque lower down with the gti6 than the mk5. :nerd:
... but yes the k04 does have slightly more lag than the k03

Yeah i was being nosey and know all the differences between the mk6 and an edition 30. Even though wouldnt buy one, still a very good car. The only thing i didnt like are the black inserts on the alloy wheels, but on the black car they look fine.
Ive got a white edition 30 10k miles, 08 in mint condition.
