Post by: sharki786 on 02 August 2009, 17:18
hi all,

anyone know how the front of the coilovers are assembled when being put on to the car? iv checked here and other few sites but its not clear. im on about the top mount and all that, not where the suspension goes on to the wheel part, as my joms coilovers had 3 nuts if im possitive on the suspension strut where the top mount goes. its a mk3 gti 8v anni 1996 let me know if i have confused you lot

thanks to all who help out!

ok after seeing that diagram, theres only 2 bolts for the front suspension, now my prob is the pas side suspension at the front is giving me probs! the prob is that after setting the coilovers up using a tape measurer from bottom thread to the 2 ring nuts, they measure 3" but y is the pas side mud flap catching on the little line humps?? ive even raised it to max and it made jack all difrance. thinking suspension is faulty?
