Title: My new Golf needs some new bits...
Post by: D-Line on 01 August 2009, 18:09
Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum, and was hoping to get some advice...

I bought a new MK3 GTI today, which I love. There are however a couple of things I need to do to get it up to par.

It needs a new side panel / strip, and a plastic square that should sit between the front wheel and the end of the plastic strip under the doors. Can anyone recommend a good place to get these bits? I live in London.

The rear wiper has been removed / broken off. Is this a hard thing to fix?

The handbrake light stays on sometimes, when the handbrake is fully off. Is this a common fault?

Any help on these issues would be really appreciated.

Cheers

D-Line

Ive got a rear wiper set up you can buy if you like. I removed mine.

Think i have that plastic trim too

As for the handbrake, its most likely the switch which can be found under the rear ash tray. Theres a how too on here somewhere.

That's kind of you to offer, but I actually have a rear set from my old K reg Golf Driver, which I was hoping to use. Do you know if they are compatable?

Handbrake light could be low brake fluid. Check and fill as required.
