Car wasn't due for another couple of weeks, but I got a call this morning to tell me it had just arrived :) I whizzed straight down to the dealer and caught them swapping over the standard 17" wheels for the set of 18" Interlagos I had left with them a couple of weeks back.
I didn't get much chance to tweak the car. It was on jacks, so I didn't even dare sit inside, but all the bits & pieces seem to be in the right place. Now I just have to wait until next Thursday for actual delivery :(

A lot better than the 17's but I will have to see some more pics to decide whether I like them over the 18's

Yeah, sorry for the crappy quality of the photos, but the car was in the gloomy workshop being prepared. Plus, I didn't want to look a total nerd and start taking dozens of close-ups in front of the mechanics. I'll post some better ones once I get the car home next week.

Thanks for your comments. The colour is Carbon Grey.

When you pick it up check under the front wheel arches there is a round plastic inspection cover for the fog lights on both sides, one of mine was missing the dealer just gave me a new one, we checked the cars in the showroom with front fog lights and all of them had at least one cover missing. Not a major problem but with all this rain in a few months could cause electrical problems if the water gets into the electrics.worth checking

Thanks for the tip! I will check & let you know if the continental GTIs have the same build issues :)
