Was looking at the sticky and you can choose to have mk3 golf coilovers or, mk3 golf vr6 coilovers. So whats the difference people?
-
Nothing all the same on the budget ones.
-
Oh right, was hoping that springs where stiffer or something. Makes you wonder why they give you the option of buying them, if there the same.
What is the difference between gti and vr6 coilovers? if any.
-
i would think the vr springs would be bit stronger or different due to the heavy engine

Na it just means that the VR sits lower due to the weight.
-
A VR6 should have stronger front springs due to the weight of the engine, however lots of people are running the Hottuning coilovers on VR's with no issues, they never used to offer a choice on engines, if they do now offer stronger ones then I would not fit them to an 8v as the ride is bad enought with making it any harder.

I have a 16v
It's just when pushing my standard 16v in the corners the back inside wheel comes up, which is fine but, the front end bounces. it dips down then pushes back up. I'm sure you know what I mean. I just want to stop that from happening.

Get some ARBs on em then
-
anti roll bar? where from?

Are you at the moment running standard susp. if so then that is down to the standard shocks which are underdamped.
-
Yeah they suck mate. So if I got hottuning coilovers and only lowered it 30mm, it should stop it from bouncing?

Maybe, I found hottuning coilovers even set high were very bouncy but the handling was a lot better than standard.

Cool thank you for that.
Tried venom for arb's, I could only find them for mk4 golf. I think I would be wasting money on them anyway, since I want to get a mk2 shell
