Title: Centre console query
Post by: dadrathers on 29 July 2009, 08:03
I am replacing my 'standard' centre console with the one that has the space for electric window switches. The latter has a metal plate screwed to the back of the ash tray recess inside the console but my original one has no such plate. I cannot see any purpose for this plate - when you offer it up to the car it does not seem to support anything or seal anything. So, since my original did not have one then I am going to omit it but was curious as to what purpose it is supposed to fulfill - any suggestions?

Cheers.
