Lol, great pix, thanks for sharing. I have to say though that the Mk V looks a bit podgy next to the sharper Mk VI. That's why I never bought one...

if anyone ever says you can't see the difference between the 17s and 18s again, they deserve to be shot.  there is only one clear winner.  lovely car mate.

So, the pic I've got from the net of a Mk 5 taken absolutely side-on, in the colour I'm getting and with the wheels I'm getting, isn't a bad facsimile then....

If you watch videos on you tube, you can easily see the difference while thay are moving. The 18's look so much better parked and on the move!!!

love it!

Mk6 looks so much better, but a lot of it IMO is down to the alloys.  next biggest diff is the headlights, followed by the grill.

They are identical to the MK5 apart from having a bit of black in them ? ? ?

Bad you are indeed :p

Tho in terms of design, the black bits do make the monza look meaner. Me like!!

Well, me think they just look as if the owner has just driven through a pool of tar. Why can't VW offer us their full range of wheels on the GTI, as with their other models? I have had to buy a new set of 18" Interlagos and then sell on the 17" wheels that will be coming with the car. A right kerfuffle ;)

If the Mk V was on 18"'s as it should have been, if you squinted they would look identical.

If I had to squint, everything would look the same... he he he...
