This post isn't too useful I'm afraid....
I used to use lindseed oil on the bumper plastic with my mk2 which worked very very well.
Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work so well on mk3 plastic...

I always use autoglym bumper care, seems to last a while.

hi mate i did mine yesterday with a heat gun and then autoglym bumpercare you can see the results in the mk3 section (your,e mk3 pictures) i would defo recomend it makes it a new car

I've used Autoglym bumper care , turltle wax back to black and shoe polish. Best results I had were from shoe polish.
-
so you just rub it on and buff it off like your were polishing a pair of shoes??

Theres been alot of these posts recently, as i've always suggested...give them a spray with some matt black spray paint....thats what i did and it looks fantastic!! :D just make sure you mask it off properly and do thin even layers and your sorted!! its the cheapest way get two cans (£10 Max!) spend a day spraying and your sorted for a couple of years!!
-
i took all my trim off and painted it black then laquered it, its lasted a year so far. Lot less work in the long run and looks better
-
I used boiled linseed oil from Focus and it's lasting really well, best results so far
-
once boiled how did you apply it on to the bumper's ect did you just put itn and leave i or did you rub it of after some time??
Thanks Nic
-
It comes already boiled mate.
Just rubbed it on and then wiped the excess off and it really brought the black back into the trim and hasn't faded

I blow torched my fekkas, look great. Obviously just a gentle waft over. Got addicted to so did the plastic bits on the Saab.
Probably need to apply some protection to them now to retain the colour from UV damage.
-

-
