Title: abs, airbags etc
Post by: omex_uk on 26 July 2009, 18:58: after reading about how the abs light should light up on ignition i got worried when i checked mine and it didnt.

popped out the cover bit to find this

not the greatest thing to find is it. airbag im not worried about as im getting a new steering wheel soon but can anyone tell me what the other wires do please ?

Post by: Wayne on 26 July 2009, 19:01: If you get hold of a wiring diagram all you need to do is match up as per the numbers on the plug.

I would think it has a fault.

"15g, 15, EBV and 31" (as shown in the pic) that i have no idea what they are referencing to

indeed but i was more worried about what they were and why they may of been cut...

Post by: gtigolfthree on 26 July 2009, 22:13: Yes my abs bulb had been removed before I bought my car to hide the fact that three sensors had gone. Had to buy a light unit as well as the sensors.

i take it these would be picked up with a diagnostics thing (sorry for the lack of technical terms)
