Title: twin hella's
Post by: tweed on 24 July 2009, 22:10
I just got some from a friend that didn't like them and paid £45, in ok condition. Is that a good deal? I'm very tight on cash at the mo, so if I cleaned them up, gave them a coat of gloss black. Do you think I could make some money on ebay? I do like them though, so if I wont I just might keep them. What do these go for on ebay?

dam! should have looked harder when I bought them lol One of the plastic covers is cracked. just looked on ebay and new covers are about £25/30 so maybe I should keep them and repair them.

Depends how bad the crack is mate. Could probably plastic weld it from behind, put a bit of fibreglass on the front, sand it back + respray them.

Sounds like you ripped your mate off though to make yourself some money, you bad man

We've had genuine and non genuine lights - At one point me and my dad had 4 sets between us! - The non genuine covers we had fitted fine on the genuine lights cus we were always swapping them about to make a better set of lights

What you need to remember is there's 2 or 3 different light designs/sizes..I guess you were lucky and found a matching/similar pair
