Hi chaps, where's cheapest to get some 60mm springs for my Driver? Also, is there springs availablelower than 60? If anyones got any for sale, give me a shout, cheers.

You will need to replace the shocks if fitting lowering springs, your better bet would be a cheap set of coilovers.
-
Yeh i know thats the best way to do it but do people just lower it on springs? Is it safe enough or wont it last long? i only got my car for 450quid, so just modding it a bit on a budget

Yes it is a cheap way to do it but the handling will be shocking plus the shocks will give up in a very short space of time.

just buy some cheap second hand shocks/springs

mine is lowered 75mm or so on springs...the ride is shocking to say the least :(

I paid £300 for my gti I'm gona get some cheap coilovers. A seller on ebay is selling hottunning ones for £169.99 free delivery. you can drop them to 120mm. But when I start my project think I might get some gaz gold coilovers

Cool, alright cheers, i'll probably just save for some cheap shocks and springs then or keep me eye out for some second hand ones.

i would just recomend getting coilovers, at a decent drop the coilovers will be able to handle the pressure more than a conventional shock and spring will...
