Just wondered, what is the alternator output used for exactly?! How is this different from your usual positive battery output to a ground point on the chassis?!
-
alternater powers your cars electrical system when the car is running and charges the battery
-
Right yeah, I understand what the alternator does just wondered how it is used in B-Chi's install? What application has it?!
-
same as what it would do in any other install
-
Nothing special about my alternator. Just has a bigger cable coming off it!
-
Thats what I'm asking, do you use it to power the amps etc?! I normally use the positive output from my battery?!
-
Mate I'm confused. The alternator charges the batteries & the amps discharge the batteries.
There is nothing different in my charging system than the standard. I just use bigger cables!
-
isnt that what i said ?
-
Yeah.
The alternator isn't wired directly into the amps.
