Hi all,
My 8v gti has started to make a funny noise, and just wanted some ideas before i take it to the garage on thursday.
I get like a squeaking noise from the front passenger wheel area.
I happens as you go along, but doesnt seem to change in intensity as you go a bit faster.
Cant quite tell how much it changes when you break, but does slow a little as the car slows (20 and under).
When you go round corners, mainly right handers but not all the time, it gets alot louder, like something is catching.
My friend thought i may have a stone inbetween disc and pad, but not had a chance to look yet.
Any other thoughts are most welcome, and will try and answer anythings i may have missed

Top mount, dry bearing or cv joint.

Where are the CV joint and dry bearing?
Just to add, you only get the louder noise a little with a left turn and loudenough to hear with windows closed with a right. But not every right hander.
