Title: R32 Conversion price Poll
Post by: Mikester on 21 July 2009, 20:01
Ok. So have emailed MV, Storm and Strictly dubs today, on an all in price for a R32 conversion, including management and exhaust into my mk3, running vr6 box etc.

How much do you think the price will be? Supplying all parts, engine etc. Drive in an 8v, drive out a V6.

Should be interesting.

i know a guy who apparently paid 7k for his inc engine and fitting of everything, but the car was previously a 1.6 so 4 stud and had it done to 5 stud all round...but the guy who also told me is known to chat trollop

think it could be shocker........

i read that people pay £7k for all-in 1.8t conversions.

if your suppling the engine and box, it will knock a bit off the price, but its the labour and custom bits and bobs that need doing. i agree with Wayne.

Yep I'll wire it up. It will never run though, being colour blind and messing with wiring isn't a good idea.

Good luck with it all though.

As i said in my build thread, it will be a case of fitting it all, then paying someone to wire it.

But i asked for a full price for banter. lol

MVs are a bunch of awesome lads, they'll set you right

i dont think it'd be that much if you're buying plug and play stuff, so i've voted below £4k

if he was only buying a plug and play it would be a lot less than £4k, but he asked for the whole conversion.

the best thing to do is talk to someone who has converted a mk3 8v gti to a mk3 r32. thats the only way to find out all the little problems and all the little extra bits you need.
