Title: Help, my 8v is playing up !

Hello.
I digifant 8v is playing up big time !
It has been running fine, but when I tried to start it the other day it would not have it, when it did fire up it was running very rough and keep cutting out.
I managed to get home and by that time it would tick over but when I put my foot down it had a huge flat spot then it cut out.
I have tried the obvious, leads, plugs etc but to no avail.
Any help or advise would be great.

It's a fuel issue by the sounds of it . Is the fuel pump OK?
I am sure there will be more wizards along too get into the thick of things.

check the lifter pump, pull the plug off the main pump under the car and turn the nkey 1 click, you should hear the in-tank pump prime. if not it is dead!
