go on admit it - who doesnt love their car enough that they take it through the carwash
(this is here for guy's benefit!)
I love the carwash and have embraced my carwash usage since owning the mk4 :)
is anyone else going to admit they dont love their car enough either?
-
Guy would kill me.
he's scary
-
he's a pansy :p
jord a carwash is still the same when you pay the pole's to use their brillo pads and mr sheen :)
-
Guys not a pole!
-
Instead, it's just massive evil spinny brushes!
No. I'd never take mine through an automatic car wash! Your car is going to break down on you for treating it mean now
-
never have, never will. not even my old 1.3 fiesta!
-
through the car wash!! whats wrong with the guys in b&q's car park?? I've seen their sponges do their "magic" on loads of cars
-
i wouldnt even dream of using a carwash or asda's/b&q's resident scratch terrorists, its against my religon.
-
:lipsrsealed:
-
did anyone see the 5th Gear where they did a comparison between, car wash, paid hand wash and jet wash at a petrol station.
Can you guess which one scratched the car the most and which one the least???
Least was the auto carwash and the most was the Jet wash at the petrol station, with the paid for carpark hand wash not far behind it.

I saw one of "them" washing a really dirty range rover. I sh#t you not, I saw him wash the really muddy, gravelly wheels first, and then move on to the wing above the wheel with the same sponge, without rinsing it.

I was hopping around all over the car park pointing it out to my missus (who thinks I'm a bit weird with car washing procedures), going "LOOK, SEE, SEE, TOLD YOU SO!!!!"
-
this thread is engineered to wind me up... but it won't :smug:
-
im going again on my way to work :)
-
My car has never been through the carwash whilst it's been in my possession. Nor will it ever. I have used a petrol station jetwash and that was because I was in a rush to smarten it up a bit before a meet. Never again though lol!
2 Buckets and a Mitt for me baby.
-
The jet wash was using one of the horrible brushes on a lance, that was probaley laying on the floor.
-
i carwashed this morning on my way to work hahaha
-
it's your resale value Han :)
-
*cough* swap value - mk2 16v ;)

Mods, can I suggest that anyone in this thread who is proud to take their car through a carwash gets banned from the detailing section of the forum?
-

guy - in all honesty you'd be suprised at how clean the mk4 usually is.. although its still full of mud inside from mudjam - i'llbe cleaning it toniht - might even polish it with some black t-cut :) lol
is black t-cut bad? as its the only thing that will cover the actual scrapes from the dizzy bint previous owner.

-
I loved the cab. and was anally retentive with cleaning it.
As for the mk4 this is another issue.
I have embraced ride height, wheel trims and the carwash :)
