Title: are top gear reviewing the mk 6 GTI?

does anyone know if its gonna be on this series?  i know they have a review online but i quite fancy seeing clarkson and the stig putting it round the track!

I imagine they will, they have done a mini online review, so I imagine it will make it onto the program in due course.

i hope so but when the series first started i didn't see it in the start bit, and you would imagine that it would have been so wasn't sure if they are gonna have it on.  apart from that awful 5th gear review i haven't seen it on the tele yet and it would be nice to see what the stig can do with it!

I doubt it, expect the .:R20 in the autumn season if VW ever release it!

clarkson and may are putting together an ad for volkswagen on this sunday's show - fingers crossed its in relation to the GTI!!

TBH I doubt the MKVI GTI will feature in the next series either. It's not a quantum leap from the last car. The new .:R will probably feature if it's any good or even breaks cover in time.

Bit strange really coz they reviewed the new Civic Type R which went backwards in Clarksons oppinion

Yeah but it was a "new" car, the MKVI is pretty much just a facelift with a bit extra. THe new one os nothing special over the old one in either looks or performance. The new civic looked like something out of the future despite the lack of a new engine which made it good telly. Non VW nuts will barely be able to tell the difference between the old and new GTI.
