regarding my suspension im now undecided what to do after a ?150 quote to fit the coilovers.
do i:
a- put the coilovers on (exthingyve, looks the daddy but can cuase problems if things go wrong with them- charges for labour etc...)
b- send the coilovers back, put springs on -40mm -(much cheaper)
c- buy a spring and shock kit and get fitted (fitting just as costly but about half the price)
????
The main concern i have is that they cost an absolute packet, and im a bit worried if theyre to go wrong....
please give your opinions :)
stressed richard :)

Put the coilovers on :)You know you want to.Is the ?150 including camber and tracking?
-
Put them on it is worth it, and is really not that hard to do.
Think of the enjyment you will have driving with it on and the nice look yoru car will have
-
i hope its including tracking and camber....
so are they quite reliable? i shouldnt have any problems once fitted?
cheers :)

I don't like mine (spax) as it is to hard even on teh softest setting, but they have been on there for 2 years now and no not a problem.
You might want to put in upgraded top mounts while you at it, as when I first fitted mine the top mounts kept blowing out till I got some upgraded ones
-
how do you know when a top mount 'blows out'?
-
when it falls to bits in your hand :P
Remember to buy genuine VW ones as the copied ones dont last that long.

Diesel ones are the upgraded same as G60 ones.
I could see the shape changed on mine as soon as I drove down the road. The spax is so hard it even blew out the VAG ones so had to get some bon blue ones in eth end and modify them for my car.
