guys,
recently i have noticed that when i turn my car off from my daily drives i can hear the water hose making funny noises its a vr and i think its coming from the left and side front,
i cant describe the noise but its kinda like water and air init, i have checked for leaks and nothing there,
can any1 tell me what it is ??

It's more likely to be your auxillary water pump mate, which is located on the passenger side of the engine.
It's basically a secondary pump to circulate the water while the engine is switched off.
The one on my VR used to squeal/whine a bit, but it kinda fixed itself lol.
If yours isn't sounding too healthy then you're better off getting it replaced just to be on the safe side. I've seen second hand ones sell for about 20 quid, or expect to pay around 70 from GSF apparently.

Secondary pump? Wow, thats a new one on me. What drives this pump and what golfs have them fitted?

I think its electric and just a vr thing.

The VR's used them due to high underbonnet temp.
