Title: going from non turbo diesel to TDi
Post by: Grim_Reaper on 17 July 2009, 19:36
right, ive had enough of not having any boost on my non turbo diesel engine...i hate it  its nippy enough, BUT boost is for winners

question time...AFAIK i just need to change the whole complete engine, exhaust DP and ECU, everything else is the same such as the fuel pump and filter...

anyone have anything to add to this before i end up having another screw up on my hands???

Why not pick up a mk2 turbo diesel lump, would be a lot easier.

sign upto vag-cat.com and it will give all the parts options for all engine codes (just remember the uk only got upto 90bhp tdi's)

its the catalogue info you want...i put the link as there's a few different engine codes for the tdi's and i'm unsure if the parts are the same?

Everything on a TDI is different to yours, I would think your better bet is to find a doner car.

I am 99% sure the fuel system will be different as it is higher pressure.
