How many are out there?

I'm still a maybe, getting my head around the £££££ issue as I don't use the car much and there's nothing wrong with my mk5 so the facelifted car may be a bit of an extravegance(sp).
Who's the one who voted 'wrecked one'? A stealer's PDI mechanic by any chance?
-
hands up.
Who wrecked one
Who owns more than one

Just 6 with a car.
No wonder I have not seen one up here.
Do come up though, the GTI is not at it's best in towns.

Really ? That's one of its strongest points.

Not really is it. Can't say that being in towns is ever much fun.
GTI is far better suited to hitting the b roads and flying round the bends, but be careful mate if you do that too much you might get your candy White paint a bit dirty!

town driving is when its at its best - everyone staring wishing they had one!!

Good point, I'm gonna have to card out for some good cleaning/polishing/waxing stuff soon.

You been given an indication of when yours is due yet?

Been told 8 weeks, but I get the feeling that might be a little optimistic, but we'll see.

Hi all,
I will be getting mine on Friday, 31/07/09... But as I mentioned in a previous thread, when I first saw mine a few weeks ago, there was a scratch on the left rear bumper. Although I am in constant contact with the dealership and they have promised that it will be remedied, I am keeping my options open. So today when I proposed that I see the car on Thursday before Friday to see that I am satisfied with the car and their remedy, I have not received any reply yet. Hmmm, I wonder whether a deep scratch can be removed or they just repaint the entire bumper? Would that reduce the value of the car?
Hmmm wished I didnt see the damage in the first place. It adds unnecessary anxiety and somewhat makes me lose a little of the excitement of getting a new car soon.

Ahh sweet, that looks so cool in white!
I'm seriously seriously tempted the more and more I see of these Mk6 GTi's!
This forum is becoming a dangerous place!

Would that reduce the value of the car?
Only if it was badly done or if your future buyer reads this forum! Lol
But seriously it should be fine as long as repaired properly.
How about asking for some measure of goodwill? Eg FT indicator, DAB?

4 people are waiting on the mk7

get my black 3 door today
