Spray a water repellant like wd40 on it.
-
Think duck oil is better.
Took my old mk2 to a car wash once started running rough called out the aa,he sprayed the dizzy with it.
no more problems.
-
Check the cap and leads, ad if everything is ad it should, it shouldn't cause a problem
-
mine has a black bosch cover on it, is that what your on about?
dont know how much it would help to keep water out?

Wrap a plastic bag around it or get some sealant and slap it on.

I dont have any metal sheilds, but cant say i have ever had a problem.
-
me neither
-
only the diesel and some vr6's have a full lower cover (its plastic not metal), the lower petrol models only got a splash gaurd for the pas belt
-
would a one fit mine??????

would a one fit mine??????
if you can find one!! these fit all models (same with under bonnet sound deadening) and simply bolt on (all the mounts are there already)
-
But if your getting water in and its causing it to run funny and alot of other people are not having the same problem then putting a splash guard is only masking an issue.
-
wey how its stopin it isnt it
