Title: Waxing windows..
Post by: jamie_pyrite on 16 July 2009, 12:25
So this is talking hypothetically here..

Technically, could you not wax your windows and buff off well so rain doesn't stay on them? I know it's not a good idea to use car polish on windows as it's not fine enough to cut the glass, but I can't see a problem with wax as long as it's buffed off properly?

Any thoughts on this? I'm tempted to try it!

I have used polish on the side windows in the past but it's generally not recommended.

Recently started using Carlack 68 glass cleaner/sealant. It's bloddy brilliant stuff.

I'm currently using Dodo Juice Orange Crush on my windscreen, makes a huge improvement. I've also got the Carlack system on the girlfriends car, although it is a great product which again makes a huge difference, the only problem we had was that the wipers jumped a hell of alot the first week after application. They have calmed down now though.

So in answer to your question, yes get waxing your windows

Excellent, thanks guys! I've got an Orange Crush panel pot sat on my desk so I'll give them a wax tomorrow :)

I could go wax mad and start waxing everything.. I've already given my eee pc a few coats!
