price estimations on a 70 k service ?
need fuel filter doing as well as the usual sparks pollen filter gearbox oil .........got a guy quoting me 250 what ya reckon a stealer will do it for?
-
Just had a longlife 60k (major) done on my 05' GT TDi for 240UKp (sorry no pound sign where I am) at Cooks VW dealership in P'boro.
Not bad I thought.

The 70k service isn't a big one, little more than an oil change really - assuming you are on time and distance.
T&D services
10k - oil change
20k - inspection service
30k - oil change
40k - the big one which is a more comprehensive inspection service (forget what its called) including sparkplugs
.
.
.
and the pattern repeats. brake fluid is due every 2 years, air filter at 60k and if not already done I would be thinking about getting the cam belt changed.
So it shouldn't be too expensive really....
My 40k (same as 80k) cost just under £295 not including the brake fluid (£49) and a/c service (£75).
Not sure how long life differs from this.

What exactly does the A/C service consist of?
Mine is probably due.
-
ac service involves draining your system, refilling with new gas / oil and a check on efficiency / making sure everything is as it should be.
I had a ac service and refresh done for the above price which adds a bacterial cleaning to the condensor. They seem to have done mine wrong as mine now smells (it didn't before) and is going back in on Saturday to be done again... Think they change the pollen fiter as part fo this as well.
