Title: 2 years Extended Warranty
Post by: VWKev on 15 July 2009, 13:52
Anyone going for it ? I cant find the exact details, but I'm sure an extra 2 years is either £299 or £399.

Never heard of that one kev.  I will have to ask my dealer.  £299 for an extra 2 years would be good, if I were to keep my car for 5 years

Given that I'm getting the DSG, that sounds like a deal worth considering.  Let us know if you find out any more details.

Lol - don't worry Rolfe, I'm sure the dsg won't break down so soon (hoping these aren't famous last words....)

But on the face of it that's a good deal for extended piece of mind.

I knew I saw it somewhere, I was just checking over old quotes and from Broadspeed this is whats included in the quote.

Optional 5Y W £399  5 Year Warranty

So basically, 2 extra years for £399.

Good find and well worth the money. If you get the discounted servicing package currently available it more or less pays for the extended warranty give or take. Unless my maths is still as bad as it was at school.  :nerd:

if these are quotes from VW, i suspect (like most other items) there will be a third party warranty available for less

don't have time to look now, but if anyone finds one, do post it up :)

Even if it is a bit cheaper, I'd still take the VW warranty at extra cost, so my GTi goes to a VW garage to do the work.
