Title: Battery case/cover

hi
ive been thinking about painting my engine cover after reading northeast's guide. However, i noticed that he has a battery case, which i havent. Do all gti's come with this, and is there a part number? All ive got is a poxy material cover thing, which looks rubbish! I have searched, but couldnt find anything.

not all GTI's came with this

think it was from 2001 onwards they were fitted as standard  :undecided:

that would explain why then, mines a 2000. Would you know the part number, or have any idea where i could find it? thanks alot  :smiley:

think you need 3 pieces - new battery tray, the holder and the cover

looking at approx £35 from the dealers

alternatively try your local scrappy

that should give you an idea of what pieces you might need
