Title: golf mk3 steering wheel upgrade

am i right in saying that a mk4 steering wheel is a direct fit for a mk3. if not which one as i have seen some mk3s with newer steering wheels.

Dont think its direct. Mk 3.5 cabby is what your after.

mk4 can be modified to fit but can lead to airbag issues, mk3.5 cabrio however if you can find one is a straight fit.

As above, Mk4 would require modification but 3.5 one is a direct fit.

Maybe have a look at Lupo steering wheels, they fit without any modification.
