Title: CO setting on a 16v k-jet
Post by: ben harcombe on 11 July 2009, 20:13
Is there a default setting for the CO screw  :undecided: 89 k-jet

Only on a few gte's I've played with it was all the way in and 1 & half turns out on the mfa's or am i being daft

Would badly set CO and air cause it to miss ?

Theres no default setting that I know of.  With mine, after setting the dizzy timing and the idle screw, I fiddle with it until the idle is ultra smooth.

The only way to set it is with the car connected to a exhaust meter.

Remember that after each adjustment that you need to take it for a quick blast, then check again.

2.0% is what you are after - just don't push hard on the screw otherwise you'll close the air flap and the engine will just stall.
