Title: brakes went!!

 last night went to reverse and heard a clunk...drove off and first time i went to brake the peddle felt light and there is a grinding/banging coming from the front n/s cant see anything obvious everything still tight and plenty of pad left, does this sound like maybe they are jamming on?

not really, pretty sunny right now and the car hasn't been sitting for any lenth of time

he means if your disk is in one piece ;)

jack the car up and put it on stands, spin the wheel and while you watch, have someone press the brakes :)

mine sounded similar to this, one of the bolts holding the caliper on had come loose and when i braked it made a grinding noise because it was touching the inside of the rim. Easy fix i just put a new bolt in with a split washer and some threadlock
