Title: I want to race a MK2!

Hi Folks,

I've previously owned many VAG vehicles, most recent & relevent a Mk3 Gti 8v which I bought standard & clean then modified for fast road & occasional track day use.

I enjoyed my track experience in this car so much, I've now decided to buy a Mk2 & race in the 750mc Golf Gti Championship.

I've just applied for my national B race licence & am looking forward to my ARDS test.

I have joined this forum for research, advice & the opportunity to buy Golf Gti related stuff.

Welcome along, the GTI champ is awesome! Went to watch a round at Brands hatch and wrote an article on it here:

Keep us posted on your progress. Myself and a couple of others on here are planning to head along for the final round back at brands along with the VAG Cup race.
